The Power of Heels: A Landmark Event Redefining Female Leadership in Colombia and Latin America
LATAM the epicenter of a transformative conversation on female empowerment with the official launch of The Power of Heels in Colombia. Under the theme “Women Who Dare to Change the Story – Redrawing the Future in Their Own Way”, the event will bring together prominent leaders from Latin America and the United States to share experiences, analyze challenges, and build a more equitable future.
An Assembly of Influential Women
The event, hosted at Hotel Salvio 93, will feature key figures from politics, the economy, and society, including Senators María José Pizarro, María Fernanda Cabal, and Paloma Valencia, the Governor of Valle del Cauca Dilian Francisca Toro, Formula 2 driver Tatiana Calderón, writer and survivor Alexandra Carvajal, and best-selling entrepreneur Diana Cerón, among others.

Tatiana Calderón, Formula 2 driver, expressed that female leadership in motorsports continues to break barriers and that initiatives like this help highlight women’s talent in traditionally male-dominated industries. Meanwhile, Julita Barreto, the first woman in Shark Tank Colombia, underscored the importance of financial education and entrepreneurship as essential tools for women’s economic independence. Vanessa Aguilar,
Ambassador of Culture and Peace for the African Diaspora in LATAM and the Caribbean, highlighted the relevance of diversity in leadership and the necessity of building support networks among women from different backgrounds.
