Donald Trump Pays Tribute to Hulk Hogan: “A True MAGA with a Big Heart”

Washington, D.C. — U.S. President Donald J. Trump expressed his condolences Thursday following the death of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest in Florida.

In a heartfelt message shared on Truth Social, Trump described Hogan as “a true MAGA: strong, tough, smart, but with a big heart.” He fondly recalled Hogan’s appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where the wrestler delivered what Trump called an “electric” speech—one of the event’s standout moments.

“Today we lost a great friend, the ‘Hulkster.’ He entertained fans around the world and left a huge cultural impact. To his wife, Sky, and his family, we send our love and deepest wishes. We’ll miss Hulk Hogan dearly,” wrote Trump.

Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, was a legendary figure in professional wrestling, rising to fame during the 1980s and 1990s in the WWE. Beyond the ring, he was an outspoken supporter of Trump, participating in several political rallies and events.

Tributes have begun pouring in from across the entertainment and sports worlds for a man who transcended generations. WWE also released a statement mourning Hogan’s passing and highlighting his pivotal role in globalizing professional wrestling.
