Los Angeles, CA — Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel stirred headlines again with a biting satirical monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night. The comedian humorously offered to hand over some of his career trophies to President Donald Trump if the administration agreed to withdraw Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from Minneapolis.

Kimmel’s remarks came as part of a broader riff on Trump’s recent interactions with Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, whom he joked had “gifted” the president a Nobel Peace Prize medal. “I have an offer I think you’ll find hard to refuse,” Kimmel quipped. “But only if you agree to send ICE back to their barracks. I’m willing to give you one of the trophies I’ve been honored with over the years.”

“Maybe you’d prefer my Clio for selling garbage to people? Or my Webby? Or better yet, I’ll give you all of them,” Kimmel joked, promising he would personally deliver the trophies to the Oval Office if Trump accepted the deal.

Satirical Spin on Politics

Kimmel mocked the image of Trump receiving Machado’s medal, saying: “Look how happy he looks.

Have you ever seen anyone happier winning a prize they didn’t even earn? He probably went back to his office sucking on it like a lollipop.”

The host added that White House security had “checked the medal to make sure it was real” before allowing Machado to hand it over.

Kimmel has long used his late-night platform to lampoon political figures. In past years, his sharp criticism of the Trump administration even led to tension with ABC executives. At one point, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was briefly suspended after he condemned the government’s response to conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s death, sparking threats of license revocation. The show returned a week later to record-breaking ratings.
