Home Fair 2025: A Sensory Journey Through Global Art and Décor

LATAM September 2025 — In its 42nd edition, the Home Fair has reaffirmed its status as Colombia’s premier showcase for eclectic and sophisticated décor trends. Until Sunday, September 21, Corferias welcomes thousands of visitors eager to transform their spaces with unique pieces from ancient cultures and exotic corners of the world.

An International Pavilion That Delights the Senses

The second floor of Pavilion 3 has become a true global bazaar. Visitors can explore an international exhibit featuring Persian rugs, Turkish lamps, Egyptian kilims, mythological

sculptures, and hand-carved wooden objects from Asia. Each item tells a story, each texture evokes tradition, and each color stirs emotion.

Turkey: Tradition and Protection in Every Detail

Ceyhan Zamur, from Bazar Turco, highlights the warm reception his products have received in Colombia. With over a decade of participation in the fair, Zamur offers handcrafted lamps, ceramics, decorative plates, and the popular nazars — blue-eyed amulets believed to ward off the evil eye. “Our products blend modern and traditional styles, perfect for those seeking an authentic touch,” he says.

Iran: Timeless Carpets That Weave History

Mahdi Keyvani, founder of Abrisham, showcases high-quality Persian rugs, some woven in silk with thousands of knots per square meter. “The value of a rug lies in its technique, materials, and story,” he explains, presenting a piece priced at 18 million pesos.

More affordable options start at 250,000 pesos, making Persian art accessible to all.

Egypt: Sculptures with a Soul of Stone

Egyptian entrepreneur Yolishe Abdel presents sculptures carved from ground alabaster stone, sourced from Cairo, Alexandria, and Luxor. Her collection includes figures from Egyptian, Greek,

Roman, Hindu, and Catholic mythology, with prices ranging from 60,000 to 5 million pesos. “Each sculpture is a spiritual and artistic connection to ancient civilizations,” she notes.

The Orient: Handcrafted Beauty That Captivates

Soheil Moftakharhosseini, founder of Portal de Oriente, imports decorative items and personal accessories from Indonesia and other Asian regions. His offerings include gemstone sun catchers, macramé dreamcatchers, Turkish mirrors, and Egyptian cabinets inlaid with mother-of-pearl and camel bone. “This art is rare in

Colombia, but its beauty is undeniable,” he says, inviting visitors to explore the rich cultural diversity of his stand.
